Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets attacked the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the urban area endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and several individuals were injured.

The assaults come after evenings of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with attacks already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

He said energy workers and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
