The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in power within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the third episode of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of characters who will split off from the main group to begin their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might seem unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then paid off his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each member has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires retribution.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his house’s orders to kill the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could enable the team reach places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the family.

This means them few options but to head to the remote area in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Seekers and Planners parties.

Audiences can expect learning which adventurers will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
